David MacBurnie, USPTA

Founder of NETRESULTS Tennis, MacBurnie has been directing high end tennis operations beginning in 1982 at the Florida Yacht Club (Jacksonville, FL). In 2002 he began NETRESULTS and consulted with the Tennis Camps of Harvard to revamp their curriculum and to inject a new dynamic style of instruction as our first client. NETRESULTS client list consists of; The Eastern Yacht Club (Marblehead, MA), Weston Recreation (Weston, MA), Brookline Recreation (Brookline, MA), Palm Beach Recreation, FL (Seaview Park TC / Phipps Ocean Park TC) and our newest partner, Tampa Tennis at HCC. He is a certified USPTA Professional 1 since 1986, a USA Tennis High Performance Coach and former top 10 nationally ranked player. MacBurnie played collegiate for Rollins College (Winter Park, FL) winning All Sunshine State Conference honors twice. MacBurnie also was a USTA National Intersectional Team Champion (Florida) and ranked #1 in SC Men’s 30 Singles in “97″ & “98″. In 2007 and 2009, David was a member of the winning Men’s 45 Atlantic Coast Cup Team as well as the International Friendship Cup winning team representing New England. David captured the New England Men’s 50 Sectional singles championship in 2009 and 2010. In 2010, David was inducted into the Newburyport High School Hall of Fame.

Joe Holland, USPTA (Staff Pro)

Joe has become an established USPTA teaching professional with  NETRESULTS  for 3 years, making a positive contribution to our teaching style in Brookline. Joe was a top ranked junior player in New England and continued his playing career by relocating to Clearwater, FL to compete on a national level. Joe came back to play #1 singles for Div. I Merrimack College, where he enjoy a significant amount of playing success. Joe has been the Head Teaching Pro for the Tamarac Tennis Camp in Franconia along side World Cup skiing great, Bode Miller. Joe will be a big part of our staff this outdoor season at both Amory and Waldstein Tennis Centers and is anxious to continue to make an impact in the community of Brookline.

Tommy Lay (Staff Pro)

Prior to playing his college tennis at Umass Of Boston for three years, Tommy played the NE USTA Jr circuit. Tommy has been teaching tennis for eight years with Tenacity and the Harvard Tennis Academy Tommy. NETRESULTS is happy to add Tommy to the instructional staff and feel that his energy and skill level will make significant contributions this summer.

Ed Channing (Staff Pro)

Ed is a USPTA certified pro who played junior tennis in North Carolina. He has worked in many area clubs including Wimbledon 109, Weston Racquet, etc,  and has run summer tennis camps at Pine Manor and JCCNS in Marblehead. Ed is new on the Brookline scene and brings a new perspective and enthusiasm to our Netresults team. Ed loves working with all age groups but his favorite student is his daughter Julia, 12 years who plays USTA NE tournaments.

John Burke

Fresh out of college, John is looking to make a positive impact on the community of Brookline through NETRESULTS. Starting his tennis career with the town of Burlington’s public tennis programs, he has been able to excel at the competitive level  for his high school and Division I tennis team, College of the Holy Cross, where he was a starting member for all four years. Furthermore, John has been teaching tennis seven years through many programs, including ADIDAS, Babson, Holy Cross and
Burlington Recreation. With his experience, passion for the game and eagerness to instruct others, John will be an asset to the NETRESULTS
moving forward.
