David MacBurnie, NETRESULTS Photo 2016

Founder of NETRESULTS Tennis, MacBurnie has been directing high end tennis operations beginning in 1982 at the Florida Yacht Club (Jacksonville, FL). The first municipal managerial opportunity was in 1990 when he was named director of the Pompano Beach Tennis Center, facilitating programming for over 65,000 members / visitors and managed 28 adult tennis teams. In 2002 he began NETRESULTS and consulted with the Tennis Camps of Harvard to revamp their curriculum and to inject a new dynamic style of instruction as our first client. Currently providing tennis managerial services to the town of Brookline for over 3,200 families at three facilities. NETRESULTS past clients include The Eastern Yacht Club (Marblehead, MA), the town of Palm Beach, FL (Seaview Park TC / Phipps Ocean Park TC) and the 41 court operation Tampa Tennis at HCC in Tampa Bay, FL. At their height, NETRESULTS Tennis provided services to over 7,100 families on the east coast.

MacBurnie is a certified USPTA Professional 1 since 1986, a USA Tennis High Performance Coach and former top 10 nationally ranked player. MacBurnie played collegiate tennis for Rollins College (Winter Park, FL) winning All Sunshine State Conference honors twice. MacBurnie also was a USTA National Intersectional Team Champion (Florida) and ranked #1 in SC Men’s 30 Singles in “97” & “98”. From 2007 through 2013 , David has been part of the 5 time winning Men’s 45 Atlantic Coast Cup Team representing New England at the #1 singles position. David is a 3 time New England Men’s 50 Sectional singles champion.

Nikola Bubnic (Senior Staff)7370410

Niko hails from Belgrade, Serbia who has participated on the ATP World Tour for the last 5 years. He has achieved a top 750 singles ranking and top 800 doubles ranking during his time on tour. Niko played #1 singles for the University of San Diego, achieving player of the year and all conference selection during his career. Nikola has been a training partner for former world #1’s Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic while in Belgrade in addition to training the world’s #1 junior girl. Nikola has become a staple for the NETRESULTS instructional team in Brookline, bringing an incredible playing and high performance training pedigree.

Lucas Gonzalez (Senior Staff)Brookline Lucas Gonzalez Photo

Lucas hails from Saint Tropez, France. He has participated on various ATP World Tour tournaments around Europe and many ITF juniors events. Lucas plays for South Alabama university, a nationally ranked program in division 1. Lucas was sparring partner of several ATP and WTA players in the top 400. His best victory is over the player number 349 ATP, in the French teams championship. Lucas has taught tennis in France at a top resort for a couple of seasons. He feels his best assets are his patience and his motivation to share with both Amory Park and Waldstein Tennis Center’s enthusiasts, “2016 was a great experience for me and I’ll work hard to continue to give my motivation and enthusiasm for the game to all my players”.

Tommy Lay (Senior Staff)

Prior to playing his college tennis at UMass Of Boston for three years, Tommy played the NE USTA Jr circuit. Tommy has been teaching tennis for eight years with Tenacity and the Harvard Tennis Academy Tommy. Tommy has been with NETRESULTS for 5 years, heading up the junior development program, head professional for the Young Stars summer camp program and providing the community top level private lessons.

Federico Staksrud (Senior Staff)

Federico, 21, hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and began playing tennis when he was 6. He played several ITF tournaments in his junior career, reaching his best ranking of 7th in Argentina, winning 5 nationals tournaments in a row. Federico was coached by Daniel Garcia, ex Davis Cup coach for Argentina at CET academy at Buenos Aires.

Federico began his collegiate career at Tennessee Wesleyan University where he was awarded the AAC Freshman of the Year, AAC ALL Team Conference and AAC ALL Freshman team. His sophomore year he was named AAC Player of the year and AAC ALL Team conference.He transferred to D1 Program University of New Orleans and immediately made an impact, playing #3 on the Men’s team.

Federico’s coaching experience began at Deportes Racionales at Argentina, managing private and group lessons for adults and juniors. Federico is looking forward to making a significant contribution to the NETRESULTS summer program.

Paula Garriga (Senior Staff)

Paula, 20 years old, hails from Barcelona, Spain, the tennis hotbed of the world. She began playing tournaments when she was 8 years old. Paula was coached and trained by Francisco Garcia Lopez, who was #12 ITF +45. She has won several national tournaments in Spain, reaching her best National ranking of #120 in Spain.

Paula as a freshman at D1 program University New Orleans, became an instant contributor to their conference championship effort.

Her coaching experience includes working at Club Tennis Centelles for 2 years, providing group and private lessons for adults and juniors. Paula wants to leave her mark this summer in Brookline by motivating some of our younger little stars.
