Founder of NETRESULTS Tennis, MacBurnie has been directing high end tennis operations beginning in 1982 at the Florida Yacht Club (Jacksonville, FL). The first municipal managerial opportunity was in 1990 when he was named director of the Pompano Beach Tennis Center, facilitating programming for over 65,000 members / visitors and managed 28 adult tennis teams. In 2002 he began NETRESULTS and consulted with the Tennis Camps of Harvard to revamp their curriculum and to inject a new dynamic style of instruction as our first client. Currently providing tennis managerial services to the town of Brookline for over 3,200 families at three facilities. NETRESULTS past clients include Eastern Yacht Club (Marblehead, MA), the town of Palm Beach, FL (Seaview Park TC / Phipps Ocean Park TC) and the 41 court operation Tampa Tennis at HCC in Tampa Bay, FL. At their height, NETRESULTS Tennis provided services to over 7,100 families on the east coast.
MacBurnie is a certified USPTA Professional 1 since 1986, a USA Tennis High Performance Coach and former top 10 nationally ranked player. MacBurnie played collegiate tennis for Rollins College (Winter Park, FL) winning All Sunshine State Conference honors twice. MacBurnie also was a USTA National Intersectional Team Champion (Florida) and ranked #1 in SC Men’s 30 Singles in “97” & “98”. From 2007 through 2013 , David has been part of the 5 time winning Men’s 45 Atlantic Coast Cup Team representing New England at the #1 singles position. David is a 3 time New England Men’s 50 Sectional singles champion.
Lucas hails from Saint Tropez, France. He has participated on various ATP World Tour tournaments around Europe and many ITF juniors events. Lucas plays for South Alabama university, a nationally ranked program in division 1. Lucas was sparring partner of several ATP and WTA players in the top 400. His best victory is over the player number 349 ATP, in the French teams championship. Lucas has taught tennis in France at a top resort for a couple of seasons. He feels his best assets are his patience and his motivation to start working at both Amory Park Tennis Center and Waldstein Tennis Center with the Brookline community, “it is going to be a great experience for me and I’ll try to give my motivation and enthusiasm for the game to all my players”.
Tommy Lay (Senior Staff)
Prior to playing his college tennis at UMass Of Boston for three years, Tommy played the NE USTA Jr circuit. Tommy has been teaching tennis for eight years with Tenacity and the Harvard Tennis Academy Tommy. Tommy has been with NETRESULTS for 5 years, heading up the junior development program, head professional for the Young Stars summer camp program and providing the community top level private lessons.
Max Sanoja (Senior Staff)
Max comes to us from Venezuela, currently on scholarship at SW Baptist University which is ranked #5 in D2. Max was ranked #1 in Venezuela throughout his junior career and was ranked in the top 10 in South America.
He has been teaching tennis back home for four years and joined the NETRESULTS staff last fall. Max is excited to be part of the NETRESULTS team and is excited to share his insights and passion with the Brookline community.
Roberto Chong, 20 years old, hails from Mallorca, Spain, the tennis hotbed of the world. He began playing tournaments when he was 6 years old.
He has extensive experience in regional and national circuits in Spain. His best result was to reach number 1 on the regional circuit and the top 20 U18 of his country. His best victory was against a player with 1500 ATP ranking. He has also been a hitting partner of many ATP and WTA players, including Barbora Strycova (top 20 WTA) and Thomas Muster (former number 1 ATP).
Roberto as a freshman at Franklin Pierce University, he quickly became number one on the team and was named several times in the NCAA NE-10 Rookie of the week.
His coaching experience includes working at 2 summer camps in Mallorca and also working as a tennis instructor of groups and individual lessons. Roberto wants to transmit his motivation and passion for this sport to every player he works with in Brookline.
Federico, 21, hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina and began playing tennis when he was 6. He played several ITF tournaments in his junior career, reaching his best ranking of 7th in Argentina, winning 5 nationals tournaments in a row. Federico was coached by Daniel Garcia, ex Davis Cup coach for Argentina at CET academy at Buenos Aires.
Federico began his collegiate career at Tennessee Wesleyan University where he was awarded the AAC Freshman of the Year, AAC ALL Team Conference and AAC ALL Freshman team. His sophomore year he was named AAC Player of the year and AAC ALL Team conference.He transferred to D1 Program University of New Orleans and immediately made an impact, playing #3 on the Men’s team.
Federico’s coaching experience began at Deportes Racionales at Argentina, managing private and group lessons for adults and juniors. Federico is looking forward to making a significant contribution to the NETRESULTS summer program.
